What airport should we fly into?

Where are you located in The Keys?

We are located in the Middle Keys, at mile marker 49.5. From here, it takes about an hour to drive to Key West and Key Largo.

What is there to do in the area?

There's plenty of things to see and do for people of all ages, including: snorkeling and scuba diving; fishing; beach-combing; bike, boat, and jet ski rentals; kayak and SUP tours; local marine life attractions; spa treatments; dining experiences; and music venues. Our Concierge Team can assist you with activity planning and provide recommendations prior to your arrival and during your stay.

Are the rental homes fully furnished?

Yes. The homes come complete with linens, towels, and kitchen equipment (pots, pans, utensils, china, glassware, silverware, etc.). We also provide a starter set of necessities (toiletries, toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, laundry detergent, and cleaning supplies).

Is there onsite parking?

Yes. Each home has a garage that can accommodate two moderately-sized vehicles. There is additional parking around the perimeter of the resort if needed.

Are boat slips included with a home rental?

No, but at times, we do offer marina slip rental specials for our house rental guests.

Do you have bike rentals onsite?

If you are interested in bike rentals, our Concierge Team can provide you with recommendations.

Is there a grocery store nearby?

Yes, there is a Publix and a Winn Dixie located one mile down the road.  Instacart delivery (through Publix) is also available.  Note: you must be in residence to receive your order in person.

Where is the closest beach access?

Sombrero Beach is located three miles from Marlin Bay. 

Is there daily housekeeping?

No. However, if you'd like, we can schedule a mid-stay cleaning for an additional fee.

Do the homes have elevators?

Yes. All of our homes — except for #3829 — have an elevator, allowing easy access of all three floors.

Do the homes have a washer and dryer?

Yes.

What kind of coffee makers are in the homes?

The homes have standard drip coffee makers with reusable filters. We provide our guests with a starter set of coffee, creamers, teas, and sugars.

Do your bathrooms come with hairdryers?

Yes. All full bathrooms in your rental have a hairdryer.

Do I need to bring my own pool and beach towels?

No. Pool and excursion towels are placed in your home prior to arrival.

Is the pool heated/chilled?

Yes. The pool is heated during the winter months and chilled during the summer months, and there is an in-ground hot tub right next to the pool.

Marina FAQ's

What do your marina rates include?

Our daily and weekly transient rates include onSpot Wi-Fi and water, as well as daily club fees (number of included club passes varies depending upon the size of the vessel. Additional daily club fees apply for extra guests). You'll have access to our club amenities during your stay, including our beach-entry pool, hot tub, fitness center, sauna, steam room, games, concierge services, and more. (Note: due to COVID-19 safety precautions some of these amenities may not be available during your stay.  Please consult with our staff at the time of booking and upon arrival.)

How do I sail to your marina? What's your recommended approach?

  • BAYSIDE FROM THE EAST/MIAMI: Proceed west along the ICW past 1190 to Flashing Green 17. After passing Marker 17, set a course of 152 degrees for approximately 1.42 NM, heading towards the brown-and-white Marlin Bay Yacht Club tower. Hail the dockmaster on channel 16 for instructions on entering the marina and slip assignment.
  • OCEANSIDE AND BAYSIDE FROM THE WEST/KEY WEST: If Oceanside, proceed through Moser Channel under the middle of the Seven Mile Bridge and head east to Green Marker 19. After passing Marker 19, set a course of 110 degrees for approximately 1.8 NM, heading toward the brown-and-white Marlin Bay Yacht Club tower. Hail the dockmaster on channel 16 for instructions on entering the marina and slip assignment.

What are your GPS coordinates?

  • LATITUDE: 24 degrees, 42 minutes, 57 north

Do you offer monthly or annual leases?

We do offer monthly and annual leases for our wet slips. Additionally, we offer our 24’ and 34’ boat lifts for monthly and annual rentals.

Do you have onsite trailer storage?

We do not. However, trailer parking is available around the perimeter of the resort, or we can refer you to local trailer parking sites.

Do you have boat launch facilities and fuel at the marina?

There are no fuel or launch facilities at our marina. However, both are conveniently available nearby. A no-fee public launch ramp is located at the end of 33rd Street Gulf. Fuel is available at the Faro Blanco Marina, or next door at Keys Fisheries (limited morning hours).

What is the depth of the marina and its approach at low tide?

The average depth at mean low tide is six feet for the inner basin, and seven feet for the outer basin.

Are you pet-friendly?

Our marina is pet-friendly. However, our rental residences and club facilities — specifically the pool area, clubhouse, and boaters' lounge — are not.

Do you have a restaurant onsite?

We do not have a restaurant onsite. However, we are easy walking distance from a number of great restaurants. On-property, we have a pool bar serving tropical cocktails, beer, wine, and single-serve snacks.

Where can I get provisions for my boat?

Publix, Walgreens, West Marine, and Home Depot are all located within 1-1.5 miles of Marlin Bay.  Instacart (via Publix) is also available.

Do you allow jet skis?

Currently, we do not allow jet skis in the marina or on resort property.

How far is it by water to Sombrero Reef?

We are approximately seven nautical miles from Sombrero Reef. Our professional dockmaster is available to review charts and plot a course for you: He might even know where some good lobstering holes are!

When is lobster season?

Mini Lobster Season occurs on the last consecutive Wednesday and Thursday of July each year. Regular lobster season is from August 6 – March 31.

How much does a saltwater fishing license cost?

All individuals, 16 years of age or older, are required to have, Florida licenses and permits to participate in saltwater fishing.

Where can I obtain a fishing license?

Fishing licenses may be obtained at the Monroe County Tax Collector’s office, located at 3101 Overseas Hwy, Marathon. You can also get one at the Kmart located in the Winn Dixie Plaza.

How can I obtain a Florida Boating Safety Course Certificate?

In Florida, anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 who operates a vessel powered by 10 or more horsepower, must pass an approved boater safety course and have in his/her possession photographic identification and a boater safety identification card issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

The BoatUS Foundation's Online Course is the only free online Boating Safety Course approved by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Visit boatus.org to take the online course and receive your certificate of completion.

Also, you can have an out of state certification if the certification meets National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) approved requirements.
